Christmas 2023: Deck the Halls with DIY Delights

Christmas 2023: Deck the Halls with DIY Delights

This is the first time I ever write a blog and I think its one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do and believe me, not may things seem hard to me – I have 3 kids, a husband, a dog and a house to keep up and running 😊. But enough about me and my crazy anxiety, let’s get to it.

The holiday season is right around the corner, everybody is getting ready for baking, decorations, and gifts. Christmas is my favorite time of the year, not only because of the beautiful décor, but because the effect it has on people. People are happier and hopeful during this time of the year and that’s what makes Christmas so special!

Christmas can be whatever you want it to be, it can be Red and Green, Silver and Blue, even Black and Green (make sure to see the BH&G Christmas ideas issue), as long as it’s yours.

In today’s world, personalization and sustainability are key, these a few ideas on how you can make your Christmas celebrations unique and eco-friendly.

Incorporate the environment into your holiday festivities, with natural elements, such as pinecones, twigs, and dried leaves, for a unique rustic vibe. All these elements can be used in your tree ornaments, wreaths, garlands and even gift wrapping. The sky is the limit.

This Christmas, embrace the trend of DIY ideas and eco-friendly practices to make your celebrations more personal and sustainable. Whether you’re creating homemade gifts, decorating your home with handmade ornaments, or serving DIY treats, I am sure that this will bring extra joy and creativity to your holiday season. Happy DIY holidays!
